These courses happen in a live online virtual classroom, which provides the benefit of a live classroom environment with a real trainer, but in the comfort and safety of your own home:
- 100% Online: all training resources (e.g. adult manikin, baby manikin, EpiPen trainer, placebo inhaler, spacer, bandages, first aid kit and bandages) sent to your home for you to keep (if required for the class)

- Convenient: log in from wherever you are - at home, in the office or anywhere else
- Fully Accredited: receive your Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment (ie certificate)
- COVID Safety: train at home or in your workplace, with the assistance of one other person of your choosing
PRACTICAL ASSESSMENTS
All your skills assessments will be conducted during the video conference using the resources that will be posted to you.
You will be required to demonstrate CPR on a manikin on the floor.
Students will need to arrange for someone to assist them for part of their class, to act as the ‘mock casualty’. They could use a colleague, or a friend or family member who is primary school aged or older. They do not need any first aid knowledge, they just need to be willing to act as a patient – for example, to have their arm bandaged or be rolled into the recovery position.
The mock casualty will only be required for part of the class. See the course descriptions below for further information about when they will be required.
100% Online Courses in the virtual classroom:
HLTAID011 PROVIDE FIRST AID
How it works:
- Receive all brand new training resources (valued over $200 rrp) delivered to your home for you to keep, including: adult manikin, baby manikin, AED trainer, EpiPen trainer, placebo inhaler, spacer, 4x bandages, workplace portable first aid kit (value $64.95)
- Complete online pre-learning prior to your course date (approx 2-3 hrs)
- Organise your ‘mock casualty’: arrange ahead of time for a colleague, friend or family member to be available for part of your class. This person will act as your mock casualty or patient. You will perform some of your assessment tasks on them, including rolling them into the recovery position, and bandaging them, etc. You will need them for 1.25 hrs, in the second half of your class.
- Course delivery: 4.75 hour online virtual classroom in real time, live with your trainer on a video conference with a small group of students. All assessments are completed in this session.
- You will need reliable internet access and a laptop or tablet with a camera, speaker and microphone (per student)
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
How it works:
- Receive all brand new training resources (valued over $100 rrp) delivered to your home for you to keep, including: adult manikin, baby manikin, AED trainer, face shield & wipes
- Complete online pre-learning prior to your course date (approx 1 hr)
- Organise your ‘mock casualty’: arrange ahead of time for a colleague, friend or family member to be available for part of your class. This person will act as your mock casualty or patient. You will perform some of your assessment tasks on them, including rolling them into the recovery position. You will need them for 15 mins, towards the end of your class
- Course delivery: 2 hour 10 minutes online virtual classroom in real time, live with your trainer on a video conference with a small group of students. All assessments are completed in this session
- You will need reliable internet access and a laptop or tablet with a camera, speaker and microphone (per student)
eLearning Courses
These courses are short and sharp - focusing on a specific course topic and can be completed fully online. The courses consist of a range of modules that you can work through at your own pace.
