St John Onsite Training is a convenient and flexible training solution, designed for workplaces and organisations who want to train a group of staff at the same time.

Training is conducted on site at your workplace or at a venue of your choosing and is available 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. 

All courses can be completed as an onsite, including courses available via Virtual Classrooms.

Group first aid training is ideal for groups from as little as 8 people and can be delivered either face-to-face or virtually depending on the type of training. Maximum class sizes are currently 8 people for a virtual class or 20 people face-to-face, but this will vary depending on the size of your room.

Requirements

To successfully facilitate onsite Training at your workplace or chosen venue, it is ideal that your training space should have the following:

  • 1 carpeted room (minimum 8X8m) with open floor space for CPR and practical first aid to be conducted on the floor. Tables are not required for first aid training and will reduce the usable space.
  • A good internet signal/reception coverage in the room for internet access for our own routers to work to allow our videos and content to work well (not your WiFi - we bring our own device).
  • Working projector with HDMI port or TV with HDMI port
  • Working speakers
  • Access to 2 power points
  • Each student to bring their own working mobile device (phone or tablet) with good data access to complete questions. Phones should be fully charged.
  • Whiteboard
  • Heating/cooling
  • Kitchen & toilet facilities

The cost of Onsite training can vary depending on your location, number of staff to be trained and the type of training required. Onsite training becomes cost effective at 8 people, for smaller numbers public training is recommended.

To get the best value for both the organisation and students of Onsite training, it is recommended to have at least 8 participants.

There is no maximum number of students for onsite Training, however class sizes are currently 20 people for face-to-face training to ensure the best training outcomes for participants and to remain within public health directions on physical distancing.

That being said, St John can run multiple training sessions to accommodate the number of staff to be trained and this can be concurrent if required.
