St John Patrons Program
INVESTING IN SAVING LIVES
The St John Patrons Program is key to the success of future St John community initiatives. It will invest in saving lives by funding vital programs to improve community resilience and increase the knowledge and usage of First Aid in the community. In particular, it will invest in these key areas:
FIRST AID IN THE COMMUNITY
This includes the First Aid in Schools Program and establishing self-help First Aid for communities at risk of fire and flood, First Aid training for leisure and sporting clubs, new mothers and various segments of the aging community.
Updated radio communication equipment to be emergency-ready for our 55 Volunteer units across Victoria.
Recruitment of 1,000 new St John Volunteers to ensure community safety at events ranging from local fetes, football matches and Little Athletics through to AFL games, the Australian Tennis Open, the Spring Racing Carnival as well as natural disasters such as Black Saturday Bushfires and the Burnley Tunnel Disaster.
FIRST AID EQUIPMENT
Update life-saving equipment, including defibrillators, oxygen response units and mobile First Aid posts for our 55 Volunteer units.
