Demand for our transport services for the sick and vulnerable is increasing rapidly right now. Income has been significantly impacted as a result of COVID-19 and it’s jeopardising our ability to service vulnerable people in our community. We need your help more than ever – please make a gift so we can help the community in this crisis!
In these uncertain times, help us to keep caring for the vulnerable
One thing is for certain is that St John Ambulance will continue to strive to be there for Victorians who are in sickness, distress, suffering or danger.
As a self-funded charity, we receive no recurrent government funding and rely solely on the income we can generate from our products and services and our generous supporters.
Over the past few days and weeks, we have seen a rapid decline in sales of our products and services which has significantly impacted on our ability to generate income to serve the community.
We urgently need your assistance to:
- Grow our capacity to respond so we are ready to step up our emergency response under the State Health Emergency Response Plan.
- Assist with the up-skilling of our team so they can be deployed as part of our COVID-19 response. This will ensure that vulnerable people in our community receive the help they need when they need it.
- Purchase addition personal protective equipment like face masks, gowns, and gloves to protect the community
All of this will place an enormous financial burden on our organisation, but this will not stop us from being there for Victorians in their time of need.
