Training

In 2021, the introduction of State Government-based First Aid Licensing (Vic) saw St John Ambulance continue to exceed state regulatory requirements for licensed First Aid Providers. All First Aid personnel complete comprehensive training that is re‑accredited annually to ensure ongoing compliance and professional excellence. Clinical skills and competencies are consistently maintained, supported by mandatory National Criminal History Checks and Working with Children Checks for all personnel.

Community

Much of the proceeds gained from our work in the Event Health space are put toward community programs including such initiatives as First Aid in Kinder & Schools, Party Ready, CPR Training Bus and Defib in Your Street. To date, over a million Victorian children have been taught lifesaving first aid skills at no cost to their schools or families. Funds are also put back into training, medications and maintaining our patient treatment vehicles.
