Before Induction

Entry Qualifications and Compliance Paperwork 

  1. Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) 
  2. Police Record Check 
  3. Working with Children Check 
  4. Reference Checks 
  5. ID photo 
  6. Child safety eLearning 
  7. Vaccination Certificate. 

ONCE THIS IS COMPLETED YOU WILL BE INVITED TO ATTEND INDUCTION 

Stage 1

Induction (2 days)

  • Event Deployment 
  • Infection Control 
  • Understanding Events 
  • Radio Communications 
  • Manual Handling and Capacity Assessment 
  • Vehicle Operations 
  • SJ Equipment overview 
  • Welcome to SJ Connect 

ONCE THIS IS COMPLETED YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND STAGE 2 THROUGH EOI ON YOUR CALENDAR  

Stage 2 

PAFA/PAR (2 days) 

  • Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014) 
  • Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy (HLTAID015) 

ONCE THIS IS COMPLETED YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND STAGE 3 

Stage 3 

EHS (Event Health Services) Professional Development (2 days) 

  • Patient Assessment Course 
  • Health and wellbeing 
  • Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (22556VIC) 
  • Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC) 

ONCE THIS IS COMPLETED YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND STAGE 4 

Stage 4 

Medication Module (1 day) 

  • Provide Pain Management (PUAEME005) 
  • Medication Module

ONCE THIS IS COMPLETED YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND STAGE 5 

Stage 5

Graduation (1 day) 

  • Role as a First Responder 
  • Documentation, Patient Care Records. 
  • Integrated Scenarios 
  • First Responder Passport and Observer shift x 3 completed and signed off

COMPLETION OF THE FIRST RESPONDER PROGRAM AND PROGRESS TO ADULT MEMBER
